Doing a little blogging backwards! I still haven’t had time to blog her mama’s maternity/birth photos!
One of the many things I changed about 2013 was how I scheduled my newborn sessions. Last year, I mainly had families come into my home for the session. This year I only go to the clients home for newborn sessions. I was very hesitant about this change, but now I am very thankful for it. I love a perfectly posed newborn, but if you have never photographed a newborn, you cannot imagine the amount of time, sometimes the amount of editing that the image needs, patience, and extra hands it takes for that perfect photo. I really do enjoy all of that, but more importantly I love photos that are real. I wanted families to feel comfortable and to not have to take their precious little one out of the comforts of home. Many mamas nurse, and I know that as a new mama, nursing away from home can be nerve racking for you and the baby (especially 1st time moms).
Isn’t Owen a doll! SOOO handsome! These two are such loving parents, and soo proud of their little man. Stephanie is a complete natural at being a mommy! I am glad that Stephanie & David found my website, fell in love with my work, and trusted me in their home before even meeting me. They had just moved to Columbus within the last few months, and are in the process of looking for a home, so they live in an apartment for right now. I wanted to share that info with you because I am sure many of you would not have expected these photos to take place in an apartment. Folks think that I can’t come into your home because it is not clean, perfectly decorated, or its messy. I truly understand LIFE, kids, cob webs, and that a home is never perfect. I work around areas, look for the best light, and make it all work.
What a cold fall morning! I am glad after several weather delays that I could finally get this gorgeous family in for their mini session. It was just shortly after I injured my knee (tore ACL), and it was all I could do to squat or bend it. I am thankful that I had Shelby along for this session. I would set the camera and tell her what to do, and she would shoot it for me! The last thing I needed was to walk backwards and trip over horse poop! Thank you Shelby again! And thank you Moore family for a fun session. Can’t believe I am just NOW blogging
Haley~ honestly one of the sweetest young ladies I have ever met. She has a huge heart & sweet as pie! I think she has more friends than anyone I know at her age. Everyone loves Haley. She volunteers at church, loves kids, and is super involved at school. I love that every time I see her she still gives me a huge hug!!! Good luck Miss Haley, and don’t be s stranger this summer! :) xo |
